It was made known to me too late, that the daugther took over this business and she is one miserable person. I ordered one set of patio blinds, and one small blind for kitchen. The patio blind was installed crooked and parts where missing to complete the installment (which was paid for upfront). After receiving no response from the store and the wrong parts mailed to me, I went in and the owner was extremely rude to me, told me to "do it myself". If I had met her first, I would have Never made a single purchase in this store. The woman who really did the customer service for the order, seemed confused by her attitude towards me and as to why I was upset followed by some other man coming out and defending the owner's unprofessional behaviour. My experience with Frieda Ross Draperies was completely bizarre and a very Unpleasant experience. The patio blind never closed properly and I was told by the installer to expect that. What! I had apt blinds in better condition! The smaller blind stopped working within the year, I didn't go back to waste my time as it seemed as though the owner was making a very good effort to sabotage her business. Lessons learned.
Pros: It lead me to find a wonderful husband/wife team that I ordered blinds for the entire home and will replace the broken down crooked over-priced junk from this store.It did not pay to support a locally owned store in this case.
Cons: extremely rude to paying customers especially after they have been paid. Job not finished, told customer to get parts herself only 2 weeks after incomplete installation. blinds are nice to look at but are poor quality.
